Antibiotics (and Davita's wrinkles)
Some seriously bad news coming out that we could be about to enter a post-antibiotic era where there are no longer ANY effective antibiotics.
The culprits are farmers who routinely dose their animals with antibiotics in their feed to prevent disease and ensure their animals get to market. The trouble is that bacteria are developing resistance to these antibiotics and the bad news is that some bacteria have now developed resistance to the very last antibiotic left in the world's arsenal.
It just needs this bacteria to make the jump to humans and we could be facing a very serious situation.

I really don't know, I suppose if the bacteria remains in animals then avoiding meat would work, but if the gene transfers to other bacteria present in airborne infections then I guess we are in the @#/%!

I guess the vegetables and fruits are sprayed with insecticides, too. Many of the so called organic farms in Msia are not that "organic" regulated either.
Grow your own produce and rear your own chickens....LOL I've done it living in Taiwan. Bought 20 each of two varieties of baby chics, (20 "9 kati chicks" and 20 "black bone chicks"). 1/3 of my chickens died because I didnt vaccinate them nor drug them with antibiotics, just feed them pure grains and corn. The survivors of the '9 kati chicken' were the best chicken meat I've ever had. Didnt like the 'black bone chciken' that ate twice the amount of grains, took double the time to grow and yet the meat was not thick like the other type, so gave them away to friends and neighbors (they were very happy to receive the expensive chickens!) But, it's too much work, the amount of daily poop and flies were enough to put me off after that experiment ;0)

Wow....Columbine....that was a brave experiment
When I lived in Norfolk (UK) we were self-sufficient in fruit and veggies but, bloody hell, it was hard work. Fabulous tasting produce though.

I did that for a few years in Pg, too but without the chickens hehe. I made my own compost. Great harvest of fruits and veggies and lots of beautiful flowers and orchids, too. Again just became a slave to the garden. More hard work than in Canada as the weeds grow faster here in the Tropics 365 days with no winter to kill them!
Tried to make it as organic as I could, but hard as the fogging guys came around to fog the whole area with an oil base chemical mix once a week! Came to my senses at last ;0)

That's a problem at my age...we forget things....
OK...I'll spurn my desire of BB (alias Felicity and her patch...BBC - Dig In : How to grow your veg in a small garden.) and refocus on good cooks rather than good organic gardeners.....

Botox seems to have taken it's toll. Or is it lack of botox? Why do folks muck about with botox? You just end up looking strange.

Indeed, she's a few years older than me at 69. Just the right age for you, Davita

There is contradictory information about the use of botox....and antibiotics.
Botox and Antibiotics - a Bad Combination - Australia - Botox review - RealSelf
The whole notion of having all those injections around the sensitive area of the eyes gives me the shivers, even I never intend to use it.... 'coz i'm still a handsome man...
My wife, a qualified aesthetician (Canada) in her late 50s, has found a product that I'd be happy to share with members.
It's called Juenesse Instant Ageless. It consists of some cream in a small sachet which can be applied below the eyes where some have puffiness or dark shadows. This cream instantly shrinks the area and the bagginess disappears. I'm sure it must have some application for frowns and wrinkles but my wife doesn't have those...yet.
It regresses over time till about 10-12 hours later the effect wears off. Excellent for those that wish to dress for the evening, party, wedding etc.
My wife suggests it's best to be frugal with the application and one sachet, if just pricked with a needle to open but preserve, can be used a couple or more times. The box contains 50 sachets.
If anyone can source in Malaysia I'd be happy to hear as it's difficult to source and costly here in Indonesia.
We will return to North America in 2016 for a couple of months so I expect we'll have an extra suitcase on our return.

Davita, I've seen this product in HK. If you transit HK you might be able to pick up some at the airport.
Just have no idea if it costs less in M'sia or HK compared to Canada.http://www.dutycalculator.com/dc/190...-kingdom-is-0/ They have a Facebook page, maybe you can check there?
Even though there is no indications on import restrictions for M'sia, I know there is for cosmetics, importers need special permit. The Customs give stern warnings on the delayed delivered personal package with Warnings of Imprisonment sticker on the opened package. I've received for eye makeup and another 2 friends got it for facial cream.
