(No, seriously, I love you too much to do that)

Husband's accent has been mistaken for Australian in the past.
He'm a Yamyam.

For me , people here either hear a West Country or an East London depending of course on what they know of UK accents and dialects. I'll give 'em either if it makes them happy. Or I'll do an assortment of UK accents in the name of wonderful diversity & to do their heads in.

I'd say a West London accent is fairly typical of S.E. generally.

Apparently we should all be careful about taking online quizzes.

BBC - Future - Do you have a secret British accent?

I sound like I'm from West London which I am, and least likely from Manchester.
Which also reflects my likes and dislikes in football teams.
The survey sounds I sound most like I'm from Yorkshire (never lived there..lived in Cheshire/Derbyshire and what was Lancashire now Greater Manchester) and least like east London....so I"m not Danny Dyer's long lost brother..and hopefully I speak better than Ian Wright.

West London too. Not surprised seeing as I have trained myself away from the good old Bristol accent haha

My result exactly. Mind you, I lived in West London when I lived in London, and that's where I spend most of my time when I'm in London on business!

I definitely don't have the same accent as my grandparents and parents. Mine is, to put it bluntly, posher. My life was very different to theirs - I did six years of school, 5 years of university, lived in London for a few years and spend a lot of my working life overseas (London, the USA and a bit of Canada). I am often identified as British when I am in the US (never in Canada though - the Canadians seem to have a keener ear for accent differentiation).

Just as long as no one mistakes me for a Kiwi or South African

I'd rather sound like a Kiwi or South African than a Manc

Yes, we're sounding a lot posher than the strine of the Aussies of old. I still love listening to the old bushies

The first time I met my scouse husband's niece, she was dressed up ready to go out with her boyfriend. She asked me a question several times, but for the life of me I couldn't understand what she was saying. Eventually I thought I had it 'Do I look ok?' Oh yes, I assured her, you look gorgeous!
Turns out she was asking me if I liked vodka
