I could easily fill up one of those Victorian jobbies in Savannah, not to mention one of those on Broad St in Charleston. Sigh.

Yep!! That would have been a dream of mine too, unfortunately, so i'm told, unlesss you are a long time family resident of Charleston, you have no chance Can't wait to do the rounds of all the old plantation houses though

YES! The homes on the Battery and the plantations with gardens, lovely, really lovely. The first American rose was developed in Charleston,

Surprising how many of the original residents of Charleston, or Savannah or even New Orleans had "summer" homes out in the country or on the beach.

One of my favourite programs "house hunters" which I rarely get to watch as its on during our dinner time, oftens has these absolutely gorgeous old victorian homes in savannah- I would die for one.....the gardens are outstanding........

Thank you guys

I am really looking forward to filling up the house with our own stuff and making it a home, give me a couple months and I will post 'furnished' pics
