Default SPL, Rangers in serious trouble

Rangers are set to go into administration, and may even have to go into liquidation.

Very sad state of affairs, indeed. Here is the BBC's report on the situation;

Jim.
But as the article says, they ae currently running at an annual loss of £10 million, they will automatically lose 10 points if they do go into administration, but if they lose the tax case it may well be farewell Rangers

Sad day for Scottish football, we need Rangers and Celtic.

The 10 point deduction is meaningless at present as it would keep them comfortably in second place.

I assume this is a negotiation tactic with the tax man. I guess we will have to wait 10 days to find out if they chose to go this route or not. As I am guessing they will both bring it to the brink.

Tax man has now made the move to put them into administration also... they obviously don't want Whyte to hand pick the administrator!

Rangers brought this on themselves and have been the demise of Scottish football, so no sympathy here!

It could be the best thing to happen to Scottish football - a SPL without Rangers will force a complete reevaluation and may mean Scottish football being absorbed into the English leagues.

Now in administration, so the SPL title will go to Celtic as they are now 14 points ahead. Forced into administration by the taxman.

They will get their shit together and become the "new Rangers" in time.

Oooohh that's me told then.

Given that your football 'knowledge' doesn't extend past the time when Revie was in charge at Leeds and you thought that Leeds were still known as "The Peacocks", and you're now seriously suggesting that the English and Scottish leagues would merge, that you keep your opinions on football firmly to yourself.
You're just making yourself look a bigger **** than normal spouting that sort of nonsense.

Oh, DFO, you tedious little creep. I'd tell you to run along and find some friends to play with, but it's widely known that nobody on BE can stand you.

On Topic ... Yeh, absorb them into the EPL, let's add some mindless religious hatred into the mix, it seems to be in fashion.

Well, why don't you run along and play with each other, then?
