Well it would be top-class entertainment (his press conferences) anyway!!

Think Big Sam might work out to be a decent England manager though...not the usual FA 'yes' man, so if they leave him alone to do the job, he'll take no shite and might just be left to pick a squad he wants to as opposed to one dictated to him by the suits...

Well in another 3 weeks the season officially kicks off so what do we have to look forward to?

1. New kits on display and a lot of pissed of parents moaning about the prices.
A new full Manchester United kit consisting of a shirt, shorts and socks with no number or names is 88 quid.

2. A new ground to visit for most fans.

3. Home fans will not have to suffer several hundred shirtless fat Geordies paying them a visit unless its a domestic cup fixture.

4. Lots of new signings on display who will either prove they were worth signing or how overpriced the market is.

5. Im hoping the Liverpool Scouse Boom Bust cycle works again
RAWK Goes Into Meltdown 2016-17 Edition | RedCafe.net

6. How long it will take Jose to come out with some classic post match comments.

7. A new badge for Manchester City with no stars on display. This new badge has had its critics as there is no Football Club or FC on it. Im opposed to the Lancashire Rose being on it as they haven't been located in Lancashire since 1974
though the Lancashire County Cricket Club is still headquartered at the other Old Trafford

8. What peoples opinions will be on a Friday night fixture?
Friday 19 August Manchester United V Southampton 2000 kick off

9. Possibly new BE members posting and are not rabid ABU's.

10. Ededed to propose to Pommybird

11. Mr Weeze to pop in now and again though he needs to be reminded that this is a Premier league thread and no Championship thread exists

Above all lets have some serious posts and a bit of fun without getting too personal like some of those Southern Shandy drinkers who pretend to be Cockney Wide Boys.

Number 1 is how we will pay for Pogba, it's bullshit, but that's the way it is. Supply and demand.

Number 8 - hate it, I'll be there but it means taking a half day off work and home at 2am. Should be a decent night, but give me 3pm on a Saturday or 1pm on a Sunday.

Number 10 - she never knows her luck.

Good ****ing god. 88 quid? How do Northerners affor....oh shit. None of them are Northern. My bad. Best part of 90 quid is a lot of money though, especially to make your kid a full kit wanker.

I know Saints have expensive season tickets, we're something like 4th or 5th most expensive in the League which is upsetting. Full kiddies kit (youth) is 72 quid.

But it's grown on me a lot, so it's definitely worth it.

What is it with Northerners getting all wet and excited about counties? I'm sure it's only Northerners and the Cornish that give a shit.

Friday night games wouldn't be a bad thing if they were local. I've been to OT to watch Saints 'play' (read: lose 5-0) and it's a ****ing long drive. If those games were local, like Boxing Day then it makes sense and isn't a bad thing.

I refuse to live in the outer Hebrides.

And talking of kits, what in god's name is this?

I'm not sure what is more embarrassing for Naismith, wearing that new Norwich kit, or having to wear Scotland's kit.

It's not a stunner but it's different, which is refreshing.

Anyway, are Spurs going to bring back their kit with the seatbelt on in case they fancy another throw-the-league-away-car-crash of a season?

Thing is flower, I didn't see our season as a car crash, whilst I was disappointed to fall into 3rd place at the final knockings, that paled into insignificance at getting CL football and seeing some pretty fantastic football from the boys for the most part of the season.

How Tottenham buggered it up is beyond me.

Well it's pretty obvious, we fell apart at the Chelsea game and never recovered from that, the last 3 games were awful and like watching a different side from the rest of the season, some would say we reverted to type, I would say it was a lack of maturity in the squad and knackered players that caused a collapse in those last 3 games.
