As funny as that is, it's kind of the point.

Spurs fans seem happy to be low nett spenders.
Arsenal fans, who've seen their side win things and challenge in Europe at the highest level are tearing their hair out, fam, for Wenger and the board to spend bare cash, blud, innit.

One clubs won it all (bar the ECL), one has won **** all (bar the odd League Cup).

I don't think the manager gives any priority to the League cup at all and with an understrength team we'll be knocked out possibly by West Ham in the next round.

In October we have Real Madrid twice, Manchester United and Liverpool in the Premier League. I then think we play Arsenal in the first week in October.

No point in expending energy on West Ham for the League Cup.

Priorities are in the correct place focused on the Premier League title race/ Champions league qualification and getting out of a very high profile Champions League group.

We can have a tilt at the FA Cup when we are either out of the Champions League or severely unlikely to go much further.

In conclusion making the knock out stages of the CL would be a bigger achievement than lifting the League Cup and far more valuable to attracting players to the club.

For me its simple

1. Win the EPL. You play 38 games and the ones with the most points wins it.

2. Champions League. Up until 1967 no British team had ever won it. It was a random draw until they changed the format to the Group Stages.

3. The FA Cup. Who doesn't love seeing a big club getting knocked out by a lower league club.

4. Europa League. Its Thursday night football and says you weren't good enough to finish in the top 4 or sometimes 6 in the EPL and you couldn't finish above 3rd in the CL group stages.

5. Its still the League Cup or whatever they call it now. A tournament used for the bigger clubs to play fringe players and the odd big name to keep it interesting.

So we won #s 4 & 5 last season and it was still 2 more than Liverpool

This is interesting.

You would have been happier if United had won the FA Cup and not the Europa league. Yet that wouldn't have meant you'd have likely missed out on the Champions League this year and damaged the stature of the club further by being out of it on back to back years.

Ive always been a believer that if you don't win your domestic league then you shouldn't be in the Champions League. I think the title of the CL is a clue
Now with the amount of money involved they now allow teams who finished 2nd 3rd and 4th in some leagues to compete and even 5th or 6th depending on results in competitions from the previous season.

I still think the FA cup is bigger than the Europa League but because we won it UEFA says we can now compete in the CL so Im not really going to say No.

Good to see you sticking to your guns.

I preferred the old days too.

The FA Cup should have the 4th Champions League spot.

Anyway.....

Most complete performance I have ever seen from City and without Vinnie, Agueroooo and Mendy.

The funniest bit was Rio's pregame analysis where he spent the whole time talking about how Morata and Hazzard would exploit City's defence....

I hope Rio does better in his reality TV boxing match than he's doing as a pundit .....

A Scouse mate put £20 on Burnley to win 1-0, and Liverpool to win 3-1.
