Default Amateur cricket around the world

In most of the places I've lived as an expat, there has been cricket - and sometimes I played it myself. It would be interesting to have a thread for those of us who have done that. There are always incidents worth reporting. Even as a hopeless cricketer, I have a store of good memories. Playing for the British Casuals in Corfu in 1976 against a local team with half the Greek National Team members in it... Of course the standard of Greek cricket then was probably even lower then than it is now!

There's a thread in the "Trailer Park" segment of the USA section, called "Will cricket ever take off in America?", or similar. It carries some links to several state cricket leagues. For anybody interested in cricket in the US.

Stunning photos show 'Maasai Cricket Warriors' | Daily Mail Online

Rather fun this.
