Default UK Electrician seeking work in Perth for gap training

Hi.

Does anybody know of any Perth electrical companies that might be willing to employ a UK qualified electrician?

I am resident in the Northern Suburbs of Perth and would be happy to work for a minimum rate whilst I gained the Australian work experience.
I would prefer anything related to the domestic side with occasional commercial work.

It seems that Australian employers don't want to employ UK sparks because they are likely to jump ship to the mines once they gain their licence and the company's time and investment is wasted.

I thought it would be to the benefit of the employer to have a skilled trades person qualified with well recognised UK qualifications committed to work with them under general supervision for a period of a year, even at a reduced wage similar to a trade assistant.

Is there any hope for UK electricians trying to use their trade in Australia.
Perhaps you may know of a company that have had success employing UK electricians and are on the look out for any others.
Any help to potential leads will be appreciated since 99% of electrical jobs advertised require A grade licence....the perfect example of a catch 22
