Default Solar Plumbers Heading to NSW in 2010 in need of work

Are you a plumber heading to NSW and going to be looking for work PM me.

In Short I'm setting up a large plumbing company covering most of NSW.

Main work will involve the installation of Solar Systems & general plumbing.
You will need to go on to roofs, use ladders and scaffolding, silver solder etc,
don't worry nothing to tricky, most installs are 1/2 - 3/4 of a day (solar)

Not to interested in CV's and references as they can all be faked,
basic short list of skills is fine, we carry out our own in house practical test.
nothing tricky all basic stuff.

If you don't have an Australian plumbing licence we can assist in helping
with the conversion of your uk qualifications to Australian. We would place
you with a licenced plumber until you get your own licence.

If your a good tidy plumber but Solar is a bit of a grey area to you we can train you, but clearly we would expect you had very good knowledge of hot water cylinders etc.

What we are not looking for is unskilled people or apprentices.

Why am I bothering to offer on here, just trying to help out some people, as I know how hard it can be getting started in a new country etc.

any questions PM me or ask on here

James

Hi Craig

You need to post 3 or more times before you can use the PM, you should be able to open it now as you have 3 posts.

Hi James,
I'm new to this site so I hope you get this, not been in oz long just moved from the uk with my family, only now finding out what hoops I have to jump through to become certified here.

I have been in the gas industry for 18 years since completing my apprenticeship with British Gas. I hold all current acs /acops qualifications in LPG and NG as well as unvented hot water storage systems. I am also a certified Worcester Bosch solar panel installer.

I'm currently living in Ballina and would like to here from you if poss, even if the position has gone, some advise would be grateful.

I can be contacted by email:[email protected]

Thanks for your reply James, no unfortunately I do not hold a roof plumbers licence, I am still interested in doing solar installations, and looking for a way in the industry. I did a couple of installations back in the uk but i have limited experience, however, i am still willing to learn further if that is any help.

I have PMed you my mobile number, if needed.

Are you upgrading your licence any further?

Roof Plumbing covers solar installations in NSW on roofs

http://www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au/Tr..._plumbing.html

unless you upgrade your licence you're likely to only be employed as an apprentice etc. if doing solar. Because at least one person has to be licenced & the other person is normally the lad / go4 / apprentice etc.

Thanks to all the guys who got in contact and phoned up etc.

We now have our 12 installers for NSW and are no longer seeking anymore installers for NSW.

We will be looking for installers in South Australia round about Aug 2010 - Dec 2010.

As per the first post at the start of this thread, If your heading to South Australia let us know.
