Principal Hydrogeologist - Abu Dhabi

Job description & Candidate specification
This position will be based in Abu Dhabi and will report to the Middle East Manager for Environmental Services. Our long-established hydrogeological group is an acknowledged leader in the development of groundwater resources, catchment management and the integration of hydrology, hydrogeology, civil engineering and environmental science. It has been at the cutting edge in the development of sophisticated regional water resources management models.

The successful candidate will have a desire and ability to deliver work to the highest standards in a demanding client-facing role. They will project manage hydrogeological services for large-scale projects, support and mentor junior staff, and have excellent business development capabilities.

• A degree and a postgraduate qualification in hydrogeology, water resources engineering or similar subjects
• Substantial experience in the field of hydrogeology, groundwater quality, and water resources development/ -management
• Experience working in the Middle East, including in client-facing roles
• Significant experience in consultancy, including large-scale projects
• High standards of written and verbal communication in English; Arabic language skills would be an advantage
• Ability to produce high quality reports and documents
• A track record of sound project and financial management
• A flexible approach to work, and good interpersonal and team working skills
• Candidates already based in UAE would be at an advantage
• Full clean driving licence

Senior Sustainability Consultant - Abu Dhabi

Job description & Candidate specification
This position will be based in Abu Dhabi and will report to the Middle East Manager for Environmental Services. The successful candidate will be an excellent team worker, and will have a desire and ability to deliver work to the highest standards in a demanding client-facing role. They will project manage sustainability services for large high-profile projects, support and mentor junior staff, and have excellent business development capabilities.

• A relevant degree in an environmental or relevant engineering subject
• A thorough understanding and knowledge of sustainability as applied to design of exemplary buildings, infrastructure, urban realm and master planning
• Substantial experience in the Middle East, particularly in client-facing roles, and an in-depth understanding of sustainability in arid environments
• Accreditation to LEED, BREEAM, GreenStar or equivalent rating system
• Significant experience in consultancy, including large-scale projects covering transport, infrastructure, marine and/or mixed-use developments
• Full membership of a recognised environmental professional body an advantage
• High standards of written and verbal communication in English; Arabic language skills would be an advantage
• Ability to produce high quality, attractive reports and documents
• A track record of sound project and financial management
• A flexible approach to work, and good interpersonal and team working skills
• Candidates already based in UAE would be at an advantage
• Full clean driver's license

Junior Sustainability Consultant- Abu Dhabi

Job description & Candidate specification
This position will be based in Abu Dhabi and will report to the Middle East Manager for Environmental Services.
The key responsibility of the role will be to support senior sustainability consultants on large high-profile projects.
The successful candidate will be an excellent team worker, and will have a desire and ability to deliver work to the highest standards in a demanding client-facing role.

• A relevant degree in an environmental or relevant engineering subject
• A sound understanding and knowledge of sustainability as applied to the design of at least two of the following aspects of the built environment: buildings, infrastructure, urban realm and/or master planning.
• Experience in the Middle East a distinct advantage, particularly in client-facing roles, and an understanding of sustainability in arid environments
• Accreditation to LEED, BREEAM, GreenStar or equivalent rating system
• Experience in consultancy, including large-scale projects covering transport, infrastructure, marine and/or mixed-use developments
• Membership of a recognised environmental professional body
• High standards of written and verbal communication in English; Arabic language skills would be an advantage
• Ability to produce high quality, attractive reports and documents
• A flexible approach to work, and good interpersonal and team working skills
