Red face British foods in Japan

Are there any places in Japan where you can buy British foods. Things like HP Sauce or Daddies Sauce, pork pies, Cornish pasties, mars bars, backed beans, walkers crisps, cereals or biscuits.

I live in the Kansai area where British foods seems to be a rarity, but I hear that there are Tesco supermarkets in Kanto. It would be great if there was an online shop or something.

There used to be an import shop in Kobe that specialised in American and British foods but unfortunately they have just gone back to American foods, probably because of the lack of British customers.

^ Sorry about the large pictures, I just thought that they would be nostalgic pictures for some people.

There's a small import shop in Whity Umeda, another in Takatsuki (between Osaka and Kyoto) and there used to be one or two in Kyoto, I believe.

There's also a shop near the top of Hep5 Umeda that does a lot of foreign confectionary.

However it is mostly American stuff. You can find some cereals, buiscuits, cadburys chocolate, I think I've seen HP sauce before.

I've never seen pork pies, cornish pasties, mars bars, baked beans or walkers crisps in a shop here.

Obviously you know about the foreign buyers club, the meat guy is also good:

he does quality sausages amongst other things.

I've also heard about a British pie shop in Kyoto, but haven't been there myself.

Let me know if you find anything, because I'm always looking for this stuff too!

My girlfriend's friend goes to a shop in Tokyo where they mainly sell British foods like Baked beans, shepherd's pie mix etc and I believe they do mail order too although it isn't cheap, a can of baked beans is around £3.50.

Please tell me where this shop is. I don't live in the Tokyo area, but might go there one day, just to get stocked up. 3 pound 50 is quite a lot for a can of beans, but I think I will still get a few

We're not sure unfortunately since my gf doesn't get to speak to that friend as often as she would like, if we do hear from her at any time soon and we can ask then I'll let you know.

She was actually telling me about it when we went out for dinner with her in Shinjuku a few months ago but I'd had quite a few whiskeys by that point so I can't recall most of that conversation if I'm honest.

Found an import store today with heinz baked beans, fun-sized mars bars and bounties as well as a good selection of beer and other things. It's right next to JR Ibaraki station, 15 minutes north of Osaka.

Heinze baked beans come and go. Yamaya, a wine and food shop, often have them. They also carry fun size Mars Bars and Bounty Bars from time to time.

The Foreign Buyers' Club still carries British Heinz baked beans despite closing their British Shop - the cost of shipping was apparently too high.

Another source for British foods is the online <britishcornershop.co.uk> which ships items from England. The postage is high, but if you have a hankering for Bath Oliver Biscuits or the like, no price is too high.
