My son's girlfriend (not remotely german - in fact she has a sicilian nonna) chose to root for Germany during the game - I did warn her to watch out cos I would be cooking supper!!
My man was also making (too many!) complimentary remarks about the German game plan - which quickly stopped after the ridiculous goal ruling (he knows better than to keep rubbing the same spot for too long!!!)
Am now rooting for uruguay or portugal (lots of friends from madeira too) Oh thats unless Ghana carry on - have to support the host continent!!

My husband is Dutch and he's very happy right now. Since Australia, Italy and the US are out I now have to barrack for the Netherlands since my husband and daughter are Dutch. Hup Holland hup!

hmmmm...... now I'm in trouble again... Uruguay is playing Ghana on friday ... decisions, decisions...
