Default Thinking of moving to Sicily

Hello. My husband and I are currently retired and living in Gozo, Malta. We have visited Sicily three times this past year and are thinking of moving over. Love Gozo but may want a bigger place. I lived in Italy for 7 years in the '90s and can speak Italian well enough. We both love Sicily. My husband is an avid sailor and has sailed our 7mt. Sailboat over to Sicily. We are used to adjusting to new cultures so are not concern about that. However although I would want to get to know locals, I also think it is important to have other expats around (English speaking, any nationalities). Can anyone give any advice re areas where we might find other expats. We would be renting not buying. Need to be in reasonably close proximity to the sea. Thanks in advance
