Default Teaching in Sardinia.

I am currently living in chaotic Palermo, which is fabulous but hectic. I would like to move to a one or two bedroom place in Alghero. I am a qualified TEFL teacher and have a BA and MA. Does anyone know which English Language schools have the best reputation?

Any reason you are particularly interested in Alghero?

If it were Cagliari, through folks I know (I'm in the UK) I might be able to pass on some useful info.

Apologies if this is a totally useless reply.

Thank you. That would be very welcome indeed. Alghero would be ideal, but I adore Cagliari and it maybe that there are better opportunities there. I have a B.A an M.A a CELTA and am a very enthusiastic, experienced teacher.

OK.

Leave it with me.

I should stress that I have no openings to folk with job offers but will ask which are considered the best schools.

I must say I much prefer Cagliari to Alghero.

Alghero is very nice of course but it is small and can be very touristy.

Cagliari as you probably know also has excellent air links these days, handy ferry departures and even I think a weekly bus to Rumania!

I have been told that (which was what I was half expecting to be told) that the Anglo American school is considered amongst the best.

There are at least 10 private schools teaching English in Cagliari. Market is very competitive. Private one on one lessons can start as low as €10 per hour.

Anyway here are the names of some of the larger schools:

Anglo American
Cambridge
English Please
Time Out
One world
Centro Linguistico
Institute of English
English learning centre
