I'm sure Chloe will be fine. My son had debiti for the first two years at the superiori and he got through. (and I'd bet that Chloe studies a lot more than he ever did )

She's been telling all her pals how bloody wonderful it is in England when you can drop a few subjects and concentrate more on what you're good at. Chloe would drop history in the blink of an eye.
I couldn't wait to drop Geography.

Just found out that Chloe's friend ended up at pronto soccorso yesterday in agony and has been kept in. Poor girl's got kidney stones. Her mother stayed with her all night and is waiting for the Drs to finish morning rounds now. Her father is driving all the way to her scuola alberghiero half way up the mountain to ask about what happens to the debito exams she is now missing. She sat one exam on Monday morning but will miss two exams today. I presume the school will have to give her another chance or something? They can't punish a child for a hospital emergency.

She passed the debito exams (thank bloody Christ) and is moving up to 2nd year. Now I have to order the books and cry over the prices.

Thanks. She told me that if even if she has to live like a nerdy, geek hermit crab with no social life she will not get debiti next year as the stress was too awful and ruined her summer. I'll remind her of that when she wants to go to a big carnival party or some other big night out.

Plus, the headmistress is leaving and the new one coming doesn't know me at all so, unless notes have been left saying "beware of Chloe's British Bulldog Bitch mother, I have a clean slate in the head's office.
Thanks everyone.

Alex's Italian teacher is always moaning that he's crap and his grammar is even worse and next year will be even harder and there will be the prove invalsi as well. I've just done a prima media online Italian invalsi test to see what they're like. Not easy. I scored 6/10. It took me longer to work out what some of the questions meant than it did to find the right answer.
