As I said it depends where you are. Some regions allow EU nationals to pay into the Assicurazione Volontaria - which is earnings related, and runs from 1 Jan to 31 Dec on an annual contribution. (You will pay the same whether you apply in January or November for that year.) If you cant do the Ass. Vol then yo will have to have private medical insurance in place
