One more tax question, paper submission
Hello, just one more tax question, sorry to be so boring...So if I wanted to submit my next (2016/17) tax return on paper, when I can submit it from? I know the deadline is end of October, but if I wanted to get it over and done with, what is the earliest I can submit? Thank you!

Theoretically I would guess you can submit a paper return on the day the tax year ends if you are certain your position or the governments (rates) will not change. Realistically I would suggest mid-year to be safe. However if the cost of getting this year’s done online was not great and you are happy with the Company you used, it might be better and cheaper to do the same again.
You might want to look at this HMRC page as people we know in the same boat have to pay on account!

Yeah, sending insured documents might cost the same as using software, and considering how unreliable the Italian post service is, you are right, I might be better off with software anyway
