Default Light bulbs

Another moving question Do the screw in light bulbs work in England? Or are they that other type where you kind of push them in. Sorry for my not very technical description. I've got loads of energy saving ones that i'll take if they'll work.

They are mostly bayonet push in and twist types in the UK. But I wouldn't worry because they seem to give the energy saving bulbs away free every so often - in the past 12 months, British Gas, Homebase and I think Sainsburys have giving them away free in promotions.

Buy all your lights from IKEA in the UK and you can use all your screw-in bulbs if you have a few to take with you!! I hate bayonet bulbs - they have a tendency to crack and explode or pop out unlike the screw-ins I found!

Cheers TR. We have Ikea lamps here so they'll be coming along. We have some Ikea light fittings too, but they all took quite a bit of fitting and I'm not sure I can be bothered to un-fit them, so they might end up staying put.
