Default Insurance

We've had our house in Italy insured through Andrew Copeland for several years. We chose them because they were the only broker we could find who included earthquake cover. Unsurprisingly they now want to up the premium and apply a large excess. In fact a huge excess. So I wonder whether anyone on the Forum can suggest either a UK or Italian alternative. Any ideas much appreciated!

If you're resident then there are options such as Genertel. If non resident then your choices are very limited.

We are insured with Intasure. We are resident, but if you're not they may do a non resident policy you'd have to check. We looked at changing to an Italian insurer, but after lots of research even the ones that offered 'full' earthquake cover didn't. It was just the way their blurb was written. Make sure you read the small print.
