Default Car servicing in Italy

I am just about to make my annual trek back from Marche Italy with the car as it's time for it's m.o.t and service. Is there any way I can do this in Italy - does it mean re registering the car?

I'm sure you can get it serviced without too much bother (assuming it's not an exotic species, of course). However, MOT - not a chance.

Reregistering can be done, the financial viability depends much on the value of the car, of course.

Thanks for the advice. The car is of little value, but I understand that insuarance in Italy is very expensive

You are not obliged to get (Italian registered) car insurance in Italy. try these people, my CD plated friends use them almost exclusively and their quote for my new (italian registered) car was 40% better than the best quote i got from an Italian insurance company.
