Typically the first step to get a quote for international shipping is to arrange for a removals company to come and visit you at home to do what we call a survey. This gives you the opportunity to find out your options, how everything might work and the removal company the opportunity to find out about what your plans are, the volume of goods you'll be moving, your packing requirements, access to your property etc.

Whilst this works really well in the majority of cases, for some people, this can be a bit of a pain point, for example if they can't take time off work to be at home for an appointment, if they need to move really quickly or if they simply prefer not having someone come visit them at home. We've recently launched a new service that's available 24/7 that allows our customers to conduct their pre-move survey by live video using their smart phone or tablet, all the while being guided and advised by a real person who is an expert in removals on the other end of the phone.

The choice of an in home survey or a video survey is down to our customers, but so far it's been a really popular option for those customers who are restricted for home visits.
