Hi all,

Hoping someone out there can give me and my girlfriend some advice. We have hopefully got teaching jobs in Bali and are planning to come out in August for a min of 2 years. We would welcome any hints or tips with regards:
1) Renting property
2) Cost of living
3) Good etiquette as far as employing help and stuff like that
4) Any other useful stuff
5) Any pitfalls to be wary of
6) Things to do

Or just you thoughts about your time in Bali if you have spent time there.

Hi Jake, you lucky, lucky people! Beautiful place. Beautiful people, very religious so the main thing is to be sensitive to that. (Something a lot of tourits seem to forget.)

Things to be wary of? You'll be offered lots of drugs. Just say no. It's really not worth the risk.

You might be better googling for "bali forum". I know of a couple that have residents as well as tourists.
