Default Indian Indian Steel Foundries in the Sixties and Connection to UK GKN

Yes, a very weird question, does anyone know which Indian factory GKN owned or were involved with, most likely in the early sixties. I have tried Google every which way but just get a lot of interesting noise.

"Writing" a novel about what might have happened if my dad had accepted an offer from his employers (GKN Cardiff) to go work in India for a few years. Got a lovely title and that is about it but a good excuse to while away some time in India doing research but not sure which area to start.

Ironically, Tata now owns the UK steel industry, so be interesting if there is a historical connection between the companies.
