Yes you are right. City has grown exponentially and infrastructure didnt keep pace with that. Roads are still OK, public transport is in poor shape. Trains are easiest and cheapest mode of transport between Mumbai and Pune. I travel regularly on the expressway and notice theres no discipline amongst bus and heavy vehicle drivers and also some cabs. If only.......

But its still a lovely city, especially if you compare with Mumbai and large Metros. Stay here even a short time and you dont want to leave
