When should we apply for Visa?
Hi there!
I'm new to this so be gentle!
I am currently a student nurse with a year left of my degree left. After looking into it, it seems I need at least six months experience to gain employment in Oz. I was wondering when we should start applying for visas?
I have so many questions. I hoping to get them answered here :-)

You are a long way off applying. You will need to qualify and then work for a period of time before you can successfully complete a skills assessment, something required for a skilled migrant visa. How long you need to work before you can do your skills assessment varies by occupation, I am not sure how long for nurses, you would need to look into that.
I would definitely look to get experience before you move over too and to be honest, I would get more than six months. It is no longer the case that a nurse can walk into a job in Australia and there is fierce competition for the new graduate nurse roles.
