Question Waiting for 457 Visa

Hi Guys,
Can anyone help with time scales.

I am from the UK and have been offered a managers job in WA to manage a busy hair salon, Plus de-facto.

We have an immigration agent in WA and we have sent him everything he needs.

15th Aug 2014 first part of application lodged and then 20th Aug 2014 second part lodged.

On 24th August 2014 he had lodged the 3rd and final part, so all parts of the application lodged and said it may take a few weeks, and now we just wait.

on Monday 15th Sep 2014 I contacted him to see if any news and he replied that he was still waiting to be contacted by a case officer, so it still has not been allocated to a case officer yet.

He said once it has been allocated to a case officer, the case officer will contact him and let him know.

It is now 18th Sep 2014 and it has still not been allocated .
thats 25 days after is was all lodged.

Does anyone know how long this process is taking at the moment and if it is busy?

When can we expect it to be allocated? and then what happens next?

Cheers!

Doesn't seem to be particularly unusual tine frames, you just need to wait.

Each case is different but as BS says, that certainly doesn't sound like an unusual timeline. Only 25 days, in immigration terms thats the blink of an eye!

Update: Well some good news :-) on the Friday the 19th Sep 2014 our agent emailed us and said its been allocated and the first part (sponsorship) has been approved.

Also Now then we needed to get medical insurance which we did straight away online with bupa and sent him the Cover notes straight away.

Then on Wednesday 24th Sep 2014 we got an email from our agent to say the Second part (Nomination) has been approved :-)

So moving pretty quick now its been allocated.
now we just wait for the Visa application to be approved.

We just hope the third and final part (visa Application) comes just as quick.
