Default Will waiting on divorce hold up the visa process?

Hi,I have just applied for my divorce after 7 years seperated and have lived with my new partner for 5 years. It is a strait forward case so should be quick. Will not having this document hold my visa aplication up? Any advice would be great.

Could make a difference depending on what visa you are going for - eg one where you need to be free to marry an Aussie partner.
