Successful RRV Application.....Now TheChildren
I have been granted a 1 year RRV with a entry date of no later than 16/06/2015.
I submitted my application just before the "5 year rule" kicked in due to my absence.
I was advised to obtain my RRV first and if successful my children s application after.
So im a single parent with two Daughters, one aged 16 and the other 17 and have just renewed their passports so im now ready to apply with their new passport numbers.
Will their application be a straight forward case as they are still dependable on me or will i need to use an agent again?
They both have a permanent visa (Subclass 136) with an expired entry date of 07/08/2013.

As you have a RRV and a daughter already living in Australia, I doubt there would be a problem. Apply for one daughter and see how you go.
Only complication might be if your younger daughters have now themselves been absent from Australia for 5 years.

Thanks Louie......I think it will be a bit harsh if Immigration turn their application down.

I'm intrigued that you were given advice not to include dependent children in your application! Looks an odd thing to do.

As far as I am aware, dependents can normally be granted an RRV based on the responsible parents but it requires a separate application. Also, a separate application fee. Note that proving dependency can be much more difficult once a child turns 18.

Because the RRV application doesn't include dependents.

My agent has also informed me that the RRV application for the children should be straight forward and to submit it myself, therefore saving his agent fees.
