Skilled Independent visa (subclass 189) with disability
Hello all,
I am 27 years old and interested in applying for a Skilled Independent PR visa, but I am doubtful that I will meet the health requirement.
When I was 2 years old, I had a (partial) amputation of my lower leg. As a result, I am the proud owner of a prosthetic leg. It has to be renewed every few years (in my home country, Belgium, I receive a new one every 4 years, though this is not absolutely necessary as I can use the same one for much longer). The leg itself costs around 7.000 euro. No other medical treatments are necessary.
Will I still be eligible for Skilled Independent visa or not?
Thanks in advance.

It is possible, but, it would be very wise to use a good agent in your application. George Lombard is a specialist agent for visas with medical issues.
