Default Renounce permanent residency

Hi i am wondering if it us possible to renounce my permanent residency.

I have moved back to the UK and will not be returning to Australia due to family issues. I lived in Australia for 7 years but was only a permanent for resident for 4 months.

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

Any particular reason why you would want to give it up?

I only want to renounce my PR as i want to withdraw my super fund. The vast majority of my time in Australia I was on a 457, student and working holiday visa. And from what I understand is that I can claim the super I made while not on PR

I think that the fact that you're now PR will preclude you from early withdrawal of all your super, no matter when during the 7 years it was paid. Someone else will correct me if that's incorrect.

There are a couple of ways PRs and citizens can access their super before retirement age, specifically if they have a qualifying medical condition, or if they are experiencing severe financial hardship https://www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/S...ng-your-super/

I have also contacted taxback.com about it. They said they can do it but charge 50% of the super fund which I am not willing to part with.
