Hi,

I have just received my Immigrant letter. Id appreciate if someone can guide me as to what to expect the first time I land. Are there things that I need to do before I travel. I know that I need to keep a copy of the letter with me. But other than that are there any other requirements?
What should I expect at the immigration counter and once I enter what are the things that I should do first?

Are you coming over to validate the visa, then returning or planning on making a one way trip?

I am coming to validate the visa. I am planning to finally settle by mid to end 2016.

Then there's nothing you need to do. Immigration will say welcome to Australia - or not, you'll have a holiday and that's that. Visa valid until expiry date
