PR status and (foreign) passport renewal
My wife is a PR and she is about to renew her passport as it's about to dip below 6 months' worth of validity.
Although she applied for her visa a few years back via a paper application, can she now open an ImmiAccount (as a PR) to update her passport details online? Or is printing out form 929 the only way to get the job done?

AFAIK you can't. When you access ImmiAccount you have to choose the TRF of the PR application you did at that time. Once you get in, you can change the details inside that application.
I remember once that paper applications at that time could not be updated online.

Just to double-check, is it definitely the 929 form that needs to be sent when a PR renews their foreign passport?

Once you are PR you don't necessarily have to notify DIBP but it does help to keep life easy if you are travelling

I have the 929 form saved to favourites haha, I always just fill one of those out and send it off. Not even a 5 minute task.
