Points & studying
Hi all
I am new to this forum, so apologies if this question has been asked & I have missed it...there is a wealth of info on here.
I am trying to determine points criteria as a degree trained nurse as far as years in employment goes. I undertook a years postgraduate training where I was employed full time and received an NHS salary while studying to receive my masters. My questions is would I be able to include this year of training on the job for points purposes or not? Points would be for Australia.
Thanks for your help.
Jessie

Hi, and welcome to BE.
There's a vital bit of info missing in your question - which country's immigration system are you asking about! Oz/NZ/Canada? They all have points based immigration systems. If you can clarify, then we can try and help.

You would have to demonstrate that the work you did was highly relevant to the skilled occupation you are applying under, ie nursing.
My guess is it would need to be after your qualification and registration as a nurse to count, and would need to be very similar to nursing duties.
