Hi all,

I am a Structural Engineer from India. Today i received my skill assessment in Structural Engineering (233214) from Engineers Australia. I had also applied for EA opinion on Relevant Skilled Employment. EA approved my experience of following duration as relevant skilled employment:
-December 2004 to July 2006 [16 months]
-November 2007 to May 2015 [7 years & 7 months]

Now the question is should i consider this as 8 years or 5 years from DIAC/Skillselect point of view? My worst nightmare is that if i claim 15 points for 8 years and DIAC considers it as a false claim!

Also i read this somewhere on this forum:
"...it transpires that your claims were erroneous (either deliberately or accidentally), your visa application would be refused & potentially banned for three years."

Hope i am clear with my question!

I think experience points are awarded on the last 10 years work experience. Looks like you have more than 8 years in the past 10 to me on what you've written
