Passport expiry and WHV

Passport expiry and WHV
Hey, just a question about my passport situation and applying for a WHV.
I'm just starting to fill out my WHV application form, however my current passport expires in September, which is less than six months away. I don't have the money spare right now to get a new one (I should get one in the next couple of months), but I want to get my visa application done ASAP as I turn 31 at the end of June. So, if I apply using the passport details I have now, will that screw up the application or will it all be fine as long as I get the new passport before I enter the country?

And carry both passports to be on the safe side!
