Partner visa (309/100) question
Hi,
We applied for my husband's partner visa back in March and have been contacted by DIBP advising for him to go ahead and arrange his medical.
They have not requested any additional information. Just a couple of quick questions.
As they've not requested any other information, do we take it as read that if the medical is ok then it's just a matter of waiting to hear if visa is approved, or will they likely ask for for any extra required info after the outcome of the medical?
Does anybody have any recent information with regards to the expected waiting time between the medical and visa approval. We're aware of the 10-14 months etc etc, just wondering if this timeline is accelerated once medical has gone through and if no other information is requested.
Thanks in advance for any information.
Heidi

Was that the only thing that was requested? Was it a generic bulk email asking to complete medical and character checks or from your husband's case officer?

Re: Partner visa (309/100) question
Hi,
Thanks for your quick response. The mail seemed to follow a standard format, there was just a request for the medical to be undertaken (we've already done our criminal checks), and the mail came from a named person (Christian name only), but there was no direct email address for him. So I'm not sure if this is our 'case officer' or not?? Interestingly the mail came from the Australian Embassy in Madrid rather than the UK where we lodged the online application. Not sure if they're off-shoring the off-shores?
Thanks again for any info you can provide
Have a good day

Re: Partner visa (309/100) question
That'll be your case officer. DIBP are moving online applications around at the moment to take advantage of any slack in the system. If there's nothing else outstanding and your husband completes his medicals in the next few weeks then his visa should be granted before the end of June.
