Migrating to Australia: Any Ex-Singapore knows about the NS liability??

Hi

I got my Oz PR And I had already serve my 10th year reservist... (i guess 3 more years).

What are the procedure required for me to migrate with regards to Mindef policy....??

Tally ho there old chap,

You need either a 13 yrs cycle or 40 yrs old to complete the NS routine whichever comes
first. U can be excuse if u got a job in OZz which you can justify to Exit Permit Office
from the remainder of the NS. If u disown your Sing' citizen then all reservist are off.
That makes u a citizen of Oz. Any recall to the SAF when there is a need for soldiers to
fight a battle will be strictly voluntary by any foreigner.

ps. If your son is a citizen of S'pore then he has to serve his NS when he reach the
mandatory age of 18. Unless he also give up his citizenship.
