Subclass 885 closing on 1 Jan 2013

Subclass 885 closing on 1 Jan 2013
I have just noticed that applications for the 885 visa are closing on the 1 Jan 2013. Does this mean one on the 476 visa would not have to put in an EOI under the new SkillSelect scheme before that date?
