Hey I'm 17 and am currently trying to get into a brick laying apprentiship, but having no luck... Any advise?

First, getting sponsorship would be unlikely as most brickies are self employed. Though even if you did, you would be looking at thousands in overall costs. If you went down the permanent visa route, you would have the cost of the visa $3600, medicals, police checks and ILETS.

If that doesn't work, try your local college, and maybe make friends with the guys who work in your local timber yard (or similar) to see if they know who may need an extra pair of hands. You could also try local jobcentre, gumtree, etc for jobs advertised.
