Hi
My daughter has qualified as an Enrolled Nurse in South Australia.
She came over on a student visa and is now looking to try for a permanent visa. We are citizens and have been for 8 years.
She is still waiting for her nursing registration to be processed but her student visa runs out in 4 weeks
Any suggestions?

I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure there are bridging visas available until a permanent one is granted!

Is she young enough to apply for a WHV while she sorts out if she is eligible for a PR visa? It would give more time. Not sure of requirements for nursing but without an application for any other visa she will need to leave when her current visa runs out.

She can only get a bridging visa if she has already applied for the new visa and is just waiting for it to be granted.

Might be worth a chat with a registerd agent.
