Hi mates,
I am 33 yr old and looking for immigrantion to Australia. Please guide me which skill I apply with engineering background..

8 years experience
16 years education
Married
Daughter 7 months old
IELTS 6.5 band

Your marital situation and daughter have little to do with the visa application.

You need first to find if your occupation is on the SOL or CSOL (google can give you a link). If it is, then see if you can pass the skills assessment in that occupation. If you are an engineer, this will be Engineers Australia (EA). If not, the assessing body is next to the occupation on the list as a hyperlink.

If you think you can pass the skills assessment, check out what visa options you have (CSOL only occupations require sponsorship by state / family and some occupations are currently restricted). When you know what your options are, see if you can pass the points test.

If all above okay, add up the cost of everything and see if it's viable now, or if you need to save before starting the process.
