Does anyone know where I can get my fingerprints taken in Perth? This is so I can obtain police clearance for the countries I have lived in the last 10 years.

Hi, we just went to the closest Police Station and they did it for approx $20

Not in Perth. The police stations all have signs up saying they do not do police checks/fingerprints.

You may need to go to the main police station in the city. Better yet, give them a call to find out if they do them before you make the trip.

Here in Adelaide you have to pay something like $90 per person at the Police Station... what a theft....

It's the AFP who do the fingerprints here in Perth, rather than local police. Their phone number is (08) 9320 3444, and their office is located at 619 Murray St, West Perth.

Be aware that there are often lengthy waiting periods for an appointment time (usually you will have to wait for at least a month).

Which countries do you need fingerprints for? We didn't need to supply any, we just sent off the photos, forms and money

sambo: Were you applying onshore or offshore? Cos I understand that we need to supply it if we lived overseas for a while. Maybe I should just wait till they request it. I'm just afraid my application will be delayed again with all the waiting.
