Default Extended Contract Employer

Hi Everyone,
i have already positive assessment from ACS at my nominated occupation Computer Network and system engineer. I have already submitted EOI for 489,189 and 190 visas respectively.

My last employer contract ending dates(11/11/2016 to 28/2/2018).

As EOI and 489 application are submitted, my employer has just extended my contract for two month more.now my contract will be ending at 30/4/2018. so now my last employer ending dates will be 11/11/2016 to 30/4/2018.

In my EOI and other 489 application documents i have mentioned 28/2/2018 date for my contract termination.

Keeping in view all my circumstances, what more documents i will be needed from my employer to show this two month extension?

How i modify the my application submitted to 489 application(NSW) as it is under process?

You can’t put a future date on work experience, you might have a row with the boss and get fired tomorrow.

Do you need the extra two months for any reason? If not, I would not be worrying about it, most people would have more work experience than they did at the time of application, because time carries on.

Hi Mozza,

Thanks for reply

This is important point. These two months are important as it will increase my experience from 3 years to 5 years. It means that i can claim more points for that. right now my assesed suitable experience by ACS is 4 years and 10 months.

if i add these two months more 1 will be completing 5 years experience and i will get 10 points

Well if you needed the extra time you probably should have waited to apply. In any case you still cannot claim for experience that hasn’t happened yet. Perhaps you need to retract your application and then apply again later.

Hi Mozza,

Thanks for input.

As my application 489 with state(NSW) is under way now i think cannot do anything just wait for that.

Or probably wait till April 30, 2018 to apply again

Can anyone else can suggest anything in this regard?

What suggestions are you looking for? You cannot claim for future experience, so you make a decision. Withdraw your application and apply in 2 months or don't.

Hi Dorothy,
Thanks for reply

I got your point. you are right cannot claim points for future experience.

I want to know what documents i will be further required from my employer to show this two month extension?

Well, if you are withdrawing your application you will need proof of employment when you reapply in 2 months. Just like you had to submit your experience for the application you already submitted. It's a whole new application with the same requirements.
