Employment reference checks in countries with no embassy?
How do they check employers in countries where is no embassy?
I know that in countries where Australian embassy is established they send embassy workers to your work place where they speak to you and your bosses, etc. Or they just call on the phone.
In my country (Latvia) there is no Australian embassy. "Responsible" for this country is embassy in Germany.
So they call employer by phone? What if they call and person who answer don't know English? I will be visa denied ? Because German embassy don't talk Latvian probably, and business in Latvia is not obligated to communicate in English.
Or they send someone on business trip to this country?
I don't think visa is ever issued without employer checks. (Especially if it's an ACS RPL assesment.)

DIMIA Berlin have resources to follow up employment references and other integrity checks in *all* countries under their jurisdiction. Not just Germany.
They are aware of what language is typically spoken in each.
