Do I still have a chance?

Do I still have a chance?
Hi, been a while since I was on here and looking at things now, it would seem my chances are pretty slim.
I first applied in November 2008 ASCO code 2112-11 Fitter. Now it doesn't look like I am even on the new SOL. I am also a qualified gas installer but because I am now 45years old I don't think I can re apply. I have work commitments here for another twelve months or so but because of my age I doubt I would find it easy to be offered an employer sponsorship.
Do I forget the whole thing or is there any light at the end of the tunnel?
Thanks.
Chris.

Re: Do I still have a chance?
Your signature says that you applied for a 175 visa in November 2008. If you did, you are still in the queue, you just have to be as patient as you can. Turning 45 and your occupation no longer being on the SOL do not matter if you have already lodged your application. Assuming that there are no issues regarding your eligibility for the visa, the only possible fly in the ointment is if they decide to cap your occupation or cap and cease old applications again. Stick in there for a bit and see what happens, without getting obsessed about it (easy to say, not so easy to do I know).
