I'm not really sure about how the TRA works, but hopefully someone will be along soon who can help. Have you had your skills assessed before?

What visa were you on before? If it was a skilled PR visa an RRV might be possible.

I just had a look at your previous posts. I'm not sure which visa you originally had, but I'm assuming it was a PR visa. If so, I wouldn't apply for a new visa until you try getting an RRV. If they say no, then you can always apply for a new one then, but if they say yes, you've then saved yourself a considerable amount of money & stress.

Yes, you could enlist the help of an agent (George Lombard posts on here sometimes & is very well respected), but you could probably do the application yourself (lots of people do). You just need to make sure that you are careful & ensure that all of your paperwork is in order, and that you follow DIBP's instructions. It's completely up to you though.

You may well be right, but you have nothing to lose by trying. Stranger things have happened!

If you did get a RRV you would then be able to sponsor your new partner for a SPouse Visa.

But, it may be quicker and cheaper to go down the 190 route
