Default Birth Certificates

Hello,
Can anybody out ther please advise me?? MY son only has a short birth certificate, will I need to get him a long one for the visa process??

Also has anyone got any idea if my sons father who is not on the birth certificate (and has never seen him) need to give permission to emigrate?? I am the only parent name on certificate.

Thanks in advance for any help, Annette5

Hi

We applied to the registry office where my son's birth was registered. There was a form on their website that we completed and sent off to them. I think it cost about £8 and we had it in about 1 - 2 days.
