Exclamation Applying online/offshore for DeFacto partner visa - 47SP and 40SP forms required?

Finding this very confusing, but if applying online through the IMMIaccount for a defacto partner visa - amongst all the other evidence that is required, do you need to upload the 40SP and 47SP forms?

They seem to be duplicate questions for a lot of what is asked in the online application.

If you log into your Immiaccount it should list what you need to supply.

The confusing thing is the lack of consistency between different government forms/websites. I can't see anything in my ImmiAccount specifying a straight forward checklist where the 40SP and 47SP are required - but in this document (https://www.border.gov.au/FormsAndDo...ments/1127.pdf) it says they are.

Yep, it says they are still required so best fill them in and upload them. I thought they might have updated the system a bit but it seems not yet.
DIBP frequently asks for information several times to nothing new there,

I guess it's no harm to include them regardless, they don't seem overly onerous to complete.

On the other hand - directly from the gov website: 'If you and your partner are applying by paper instead of online, a completed Form 40SP - Sponsorship for a partner to migrate to Australia (PDF 255KB).'

If you are applying online then the forms you complete are electronic. There is no need to complete a paper Form 47SP/40SP as well.

I did think that was their intention, to phase out the forms for online applications, but as ever DIBP hasn't made it clear in any of the guidance notes!
