Application for 417 with conviction.
Myself and my partner applied for our 417 temporary working holiday visas on the same day.
She received confirmation 4 days later where as I received a 'more information required' email.
Oz immi want me to provide the details of my conviction (date, offence, punishment etc) which I can't remember the exact details of so I need access to my police record.
Oz immi have given me 28 days from the date on the email they sent to get back to them or my application will be processed without the additional information.
My local constabulary has told me the information could take up to 40 days to arrive in the post.
I have emailed the immi helpdesk to make them aware of this but 5 days into my 28 I still haven't heard anything. I have tried calling Australia House in London to ask them and both times they've been closed.
To top it off we leave for a 6 month South East Asia tour on Monday which would've hopefully finished with us flying to Australia, now with this we're not so sure.
FWIW the conviction was a drink driving offence 4 years ago. I know the offences committed and the punishment received but not the official court jargon to inform immi of them, I also don't know the date.
I'm stuck for what to do next, any help/direction would definitely be appreciated.
