Hi, our agent has forwarded our application to DIMA this week so I guess that after a year, we can finally announce that we're October 06 applicants :-)

We're applying for an STNI visa with sponsorship from Victoria. Got a positive from ACS last week and hoping to move next July/August.

Now, just waiting for an acknowledgement, and for the credit card to take a hit before commencing radion silence with DIMA til probably some time in the new year.

Anyone care to join us?

We are sat at home waiting for the courier as i write this. Will give a blow by blow account of the holy parcel pilgrimage to the demigods at ASPC. Don't know how much the christmas break will affect the application- we are hoping to be allocated a case officer around about chrimbo, although there isn't that much of a rush for us- hubby can't get out of his job until around about the end of May.Are we going to start a conga line for October applicants?

Hi there just had confirmation from our agent that our 136 skilled application has been sent, so I guess we are now officially October 2006 applicants. We still are not set on were we are going, could be Perth, could be Brisbane. I guess we still have a bit of time to make up our mind.

Anyway good luck to all October applicants.

Hadn't realyl given the fact that we might have delays 'cause of Xmas any thought. Like you, my OH can't leave his job until around July so we'll just wait it out and hope it all goes smoothly.

Well done on getting your application in. How on earth are you going to decide where to go? We are limited to Melbourne as that's where we're sponsored for. However, that was always our first choice destination so we're delighted with that.

Just sorting out last bits and hopefully will be an October applicant. This application form is never ending and didnt realise had to do form 80 as well!!!

I have no idea. I have learnt through this process that you have got to deal with one thing at a time. So getting the application in was priority over thinking about were we will end up.

We started definitely going to Perth, then prices went up and did lots of research and the general impression was Brisbane would suit us better. However (obviously) OH will be working in the Building Industry and money and opportunity is better in Perth. He has always been able to earn a good living and that has to be important.

So now that emigration is becoming more of a reality, he's kind of draw back to Perth. Anyway we will see, it's so confusing.

What are you going to be doing in Melbourne?

Our application is being submitted next week, we are on 136 MODL. We're aiming for Sydney, Blue Mountain area, and all being well, heading off about this time next year.

another october applicant here. courier has just come and taken our app. Not really posted much on here but used lots of the advice given to others so thanks to everybody for helping us get this far. Can't believe our app has finally gone. Time to sit back and wait now...and wait... and wait!

Agent did not send app this mornin as planned, a problem about my sons dependancy was noticed and is being queried, apparently his part-time job is paying too much, so this will need to be addressed before we can continue

Waiting, praying on positive result soon from TRA. Ack 29/09/06. If it comes back yes we will be October applicants.
